As a native to San Benito County, Katherine finds herself fortunate to work and live in the community that has always been home to her. Katherine began here career in the insurance industry in 1989. Katherine worked for the Lusink's while attending high school and college. It didn't take much longer after starting college that Katherine realized how much she enjoyed working in the insurance industry and became quite good at it. Eighteen years later Katherine is still enjoying that passion for insurance, but now as the agency owner. Katherine purchased the agency in 2000 upon the retirement of Richard & Sandra Lusink. She firmly believes in continuing the same practice that has made the agency such a success, "Being committed to our customer relationships and community"

Katherine's business owner experience has also been a support to the community. She has served as the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce President in 2003 and 2004. She served as a steering committee member and board member of Leadership San Benito County as well as a 2006 graduate of the program. Katherine continuously attends business development courses along with industry meetings and keeps a schedule of classes to stay up to date with the industry changes.

Karen has been with Bishop-Lusink Insurance since 1995. Karen has over 14 years of Personal Lines experience. She began her career with an exclusive insurance agency, Farmers Insurance. Upon joining BLI Karen expanded her carrier options working with an Independent Insurance Agency. Karen manages the Personal Lines Department and works closely with each client to create a policy to fit their individual needs. Karen keeps up with the industry and market changes by attending regular training sessions and frequent meetings with customers, company representatives and underwriters.
